Ebay Reselling

Turning Garage and Estate Sale                       "finds" into online gold!

Do you like going to garage and estate sales? How about auctions? Are you the type     of person who finds it hard to pass up an antique store without going in and seeing what they have? Are you a sucker for the "thrill of the hunt"?  If this describes you, Ebay reselling may be a way to convert your "guilty pleasure" into cold hard cash!

If you've ever watched "Antiques Road Show"     you know treasures are just waiting to be found! At garage sales. At estate sales.  And at auctions and antique stores. And quite possibly at your local Good Will Store! But separating the "gems"  from the junk is where it gets tricky. If you think you can do it, Ebay reselling  may be your niche!

Believe it or not, some people are actually earning a living by visiting garage sales,   estate sales, auctions and antique shops and selling their "found treasures" on E-bay! As the above photo shows -favorite resale categories include vintage collectible toys, finely crafted antique furniture and artwork. You can also add jewelry, pop culture and sports memorabilia and lots of other items as well. But knowing exactly WHICH items are in high demand takes research, experience and skill. If you think you're up to the challenge, Ebay reselling may be a career path worth investigating.

Founded in 1995,  Ebay is now a multi-billion dollar enterprise operating in ( 30 ) countries worldwide. Ebay's online auction and shopping website brings people and businesses together buying and selling a wide variety of goods and services.

How to get started....

Go to Ebay.com and get your own Ebay Store (-to post your items on ). Ebay charges for their service based upon the "bells and whistles" you want ( -from simple "Seller's  Hubs" to nearly everything-done-for-you "Ebay Valet" ). Determine which level of service you want and sign-up. Then, take note of any garage/ estate sales or auctions occurring in your neighborhood. Attend them and snag the items you feel will sell best on your Ebay store.

Between sales and auctions -visit nearby antique and thrift stores. The more you do the sharper you'll get. And consulting books and websites on the topic of antiques, collectibles and such couldn't hurt either! Even watching a few episodes of "Antiques Road Show" might give you some hints. Pay attention to what's "hot" and trending in the field and you'll know what to buy.

Ebay offers various levels of service for online sellers. Spend some time reviewing them. For example "Seller's Hubs" and "Ebay Valet" ser- vice. Decide which one's right for you and sign up. Ebay allows you to reach potential buyers worldwide ( -a LOT more "reach" than a simple "brick and mortar" store would permit! ).

Making it a Family Affair....

Ebay reselling is a great way for family and friends to share time doing something they enjoy. Something that's both fun and profitable! For example, a pair of thrifty sisters who enjoy "couponing" and "bargain-hunting" could join forces and start an Ebay store -selling their "finds" online ( -turning their spare time into cash! ). Similarly, families ( -from kids to teens ) can "specialize" in items that appeal to their particular age groups -posting them to "target" specific shopping "age groups". The possibiities are nearly endless!

In today's economy everyone's looking for a way to make money. Why not turn other people's "junk" into some online "gold". All it takes is a good eye for items that are "hot" and trending and a bit of enterprising spirit. Some people have turned Ebay Reselling into a career!
